Ingredients

1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed)

2 medium zucchinis, thinly sliced

2 medium tomatoes, sliced

1 cup crumbled feta cheese

3 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon black pepper

Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)

1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Pastry: Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to fit a tart or pie pan (approximately 9 inches). Gently press the pastry into the pan, trimming any excess hanging over the edges.

Add the Feta: Sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese evenly over the bottom of the pastry, creating a flavorful base.

Layer the Vegetables: Alternate the sliced zucchinis and tomatoes on top of the feta, overlapping them slightly in a circular pattern. This not only looks beautiful but also ensures a great balance of flavors in every bite.

Season the Tart: In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, dried oregano, garlic powder, and black pepper. Drizzle this mixture generously over the layered vegetables, ensuring they are well-coated.

Egg Wash: Brush the edges of the puff pastry with the beaten egg to give it a nice golden color as it bakes.

Bake: Place the tart in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the vegetables are tender.

Garnish and Serve: Once out of the oven, let the tart cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before slicing.

Enjoy: Serve warm or at room temperature, as a delightful appetizer or a light main dish.
