Ingredients

For the Tuna Skewers:

1 lb fresh sushi-grade tuna, cut into 1-inch cubes

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

1 teaspoon honey

1 teaspoon ground ginger

Salt and pepper, to taste

Skewers (metal or soaked wooden skewers)

For the Blueberry Salsa:

1 cup fresh blueberries, rinsed and drained

1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped

1 jalapeño, seeded and minced

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

1 tablespoon lime juice

Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

Marinate the Tuna: In a medium bowl, combine the olive oil, soy sauce, lime juice, honey, ground ginger, salt, and pepper. Add the tuna cubes and gently toss to coat. Allow the mixture to marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

Prepare the Blueberry Salsa: In a separate bowl, mix together the blueberries, red onion, jalapeño, cilantro, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Gently fold the ingredients together, being careful not to smash the blueberries. Set aside to allow the flavors to meld.

Assemble the Skewers: Preheat your grill or grill pan on medium-high heat. Thread the marinated tuna cubes onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece to ensure even cooking.

Grill the Skewers: Place the tuna skewers on the grill. Cook for approximately 2-3 minutes per side, or until the tuna is lightly charred on the outside but still pink in the center (approximately 4-6 minutes total). Adjust cooking time depending on your preferred level of doneness.

Serve: Once cooked, remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for 2 minutes. Serve hot alongside the blueberry salsa for dipping, or drizzle the salsa over the skewers.

Garnish (optional): For an extra touch, garnish with lime wedges and additional cilantro.
