1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

1 cup buttermilk

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 cup Panko breadcrumbs

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 large egg

Cooking spray (for air fryer)

Optional: dipping sauces (honey mustard, BBQ sauce, ranch)

Marinate the Chicken: In a large bowl, combine the buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken pieces and ensure they are well-coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours) to let the flavors develop.

    Prepare the Breading Station: Set up a breading station by placing the Panko breadcrumbs in one shallow dish, the all-purpose flour in another, and beat the egg in a third bowl.

      Coat the Chicken: Remove the marinated chicken from the refrigerator. Take each piece of chicken, dip it into the flour first, making sure to shake off any excess. Then, dip it into the beaten egg, and finally coat it generously with the Panko breadcrumbs. Press down gently to ensure the breadcrumbs stick well.

        Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
